Curtis Durwood Chidester, age 72, of Bastrop, LA, died Friday November 6, at Northeast Louisiana War Memorial Veterans Home in Monroe, LA. Born November 30, 1942 in Pine Bluff, AR, a son of the late Doyle Curtis Chidester and Sallie Neal Chidester he was a U.S. Army veteran, a self employed businessman and a Freewill Baptist. Also preceding him in death was a brother Dewey Wayne Chidester. Survivors are 1 brother Tommy Chidester, Crossett, AR. One sister Barbara Ortego, W. Monroe, LA. Graveside service with flag presentation was 1:30 p.m. Sunday November 8, at Willoughby Cemetery near Warren, AR, with Rev. Ronald Neely officiating. Arrangements were by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were R.L. Gates, Bobby Neal, Cody Kelley, Shannon Bond, Jeff Taylor and Kevin Kubiak.
