Jesse Lee Taylor, Sr. age 79, of Jersey, Arkansas died Friday, May 14, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. He was born August 6, 1924 at Malvern, Arkansas a son of the late Carrie W. Taylor and Martha Quick Taylor. He served in the US Army during World War II, was a member of shady Grove Baptist Church and a retired carpenter. Surviving is a daughter Susan Vickers, Tillar, Ark; 1 sister Fannie Sue Bird, Katy, Tex; 1 grandson Stacy Reynolds, Hermitage, Ark; 2 great-grandchildren; a special friend Dorothy Duncan, Jersey, Ark. A son Jesse Lee Taylor, Jr, 3 brothers Bill Taylor, Ralph Taylor and C. W. Taylor and 2 sisters Juanita Anders and Marjorie Johnson also preceded him in death. Funeral services were 2:00 pm Sunday, May 16, at Shady Grove Baptist Church at Jersey by Rev. Jerry Hines and Rev. Bob Meggs. Nina Harrod was the pianist and Jerry Vickers and Franklin Stanley played and sang. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home of Warren. Active pallbearers were John Sellers, Danny Dixon, Jeff Sellers, Tommy Bird, Rusty Blann and Robert Sellers. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Ederington, James Ederington, Gordon Anders and Buddy Blann.
