Obituary:
Franklin Stanley age 74, of Hermitage, AR died Monday, May 18th at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born October 20th, 1940 in Bradley County, AR a son of the late Grady Stanley and Ruth Colvin Stanley. He was a farmer and worked in forestry, a member of the Moro Bay Baptist Church and a graduate of the Hermitage Public School system. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved playing music with his friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Sherry Layne Stanley, brothers Durell Stanley and Kenneth Stanley. Sisters Mayselle Rainey, Ethel Pope and Lenora Castellow. Surviving is his wife Kathy Whitehead Stanley, Hermitage, AR. A son Kerry Stanley, Hermitage, AR. A brother Ray Stanley and spouse Evanelle, Hot Springs, AR. 5 grandchildren Leslie Huitt and spouse Matt, Brandon Stanley, April Bagley and spouse John, Chad Stanley and spouse Leslie and Travis Stanley. 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service was 10:00AM Friday, May 22nd at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann and Rev. Joe McCellan officiating. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Linwood Dees, David Dees, John Bagley, Brandon Stanley, Chad Stanley, Travis Stanley, Matt Huitt and Sam Smith. Honorary Pallbearers were Gayle Jackson, Dan Jones, Kent Measel, Johnny Bob Waterfield, Roger Smith, Sam Russell, Joe Curres and Men of Moro Bay Baptist Church.
