Floyd Dale Young, age 71, of Warren, Arkansas died Tuesday, May 25, at JRMC. He was born January 6, 1933 in Cleveland County, Arkansas a son of the late James Samuel “Jim” Young and Willie Hazel Ashcraft Young. He received his education in the Woodlawn School System and Arkansas A & M College. He served in the U S Air Force and was the owner of Arkansas Bradley Building Supply Company. He was a poultry producer for Tyson’s and a member and for 37 years was the Clerk of Enon Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife Thelma Kimbrell Young whom he married on January 6, 1955 at Greenville, Miss; 3 sons James Ray Young and Eric Young both of Warren, Ark. and Mark Young, Herbine, Ark; 1 daughter Jeanne Hays, Warren, Ark; 3 brothers J. Murray Young, Willie J. Young and Henry Eugene Young all of Warren, Ark; 1 sister Katie Sue Reep, Warren, Ark; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers Clay Maxwell Young, Aubrey Young and James Owen Young and a sister Mary Elizabeth Adams. Funeral services were 2:00 pm Thursday, May 27, at Enon Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David Robinson and Rev. George Raley officiating. Organist was Betty Chapman, pianist was Sybil Vinson and the Enon Missionary Baptist Church Choir sang. Burial was in Union Cemetery at Rye by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were R.P. Outlaw, Robert Donald Curry, Bob Young, Tommy Tooke, Albert West, Kevin Black, Ryan Hicks and Anthony Young. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Kerry Pennington, Wendol Swinney, J.S. Gibson, Willie John Johnston, J.W. Gavin and John Cravens. Memorials preferred to Enon Missionary Baptist Church.
