Obituary:
Michael Paxson Mety, 80, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014 in Mobile. Michael graduated from Warren High School in Warren, Arkansas, and Louisiana Tech University. Mike worked as a forester with Potlatch Corporation in Warren, Arkansas, for many years and was the State Forester for the states of Arkansas and Louisiana. Mike was a board member at the Warren, Arkansas YMCA where he coached football, baseball and basketball. Mike was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Pat Mety; his parents Bruce and Dawn Mety; and his two sisters Susan Mety Massanelli and Sarah Mety. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Mety Beal; two sons, Michael Matthew (Laura) Mety and William Christopher Mety; grandchildren, Kate (Billy) Hutcheson, Allen (Avery) Beal, Michael Beal, Madison Mety, and Reed Mety; great grandchild, Trey Hutcheson; and his close friend, Vonnie Foreman. Graveside services were 11:30AM Saturday, November 15th at Oakland Cemetery. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Memorials preferred Donald W. Reynolds Y.M.C.A; 207 North Main St.; Warren, AR 716761.

Message: Mety family, my family grew up going to church at St. Luke's in Warren. We have many fond memories of the Mety family. My mother, Anne Wilson, and Mike's mom, Dawn, were great friends. I am so sorry I can't be with you today. Msgr. John O'Donnell also sends his condolences. He has a bad cold and thought it would be better to stay indoors today. Love and prayers to all.
