Harbison Hob Moffatt

Harbison “Hob” Moffatt, age 82, of Hamburg, Arkansas died Tuesday, August 19, at home. He was born April 22, 1932 at Milo, Arkansas a son of the late Elmer Wade Moffatt, Sr. and Druzie Evelyn Wolfe Moffatt. He received his education in the Ft. Hill Public School System, was a retired station operator for Mississippi River Transmission Company and was a member of the Eden Baptist Church. He married Nancy Carolyn Wherry Moffatt on March 7, 1957 at Bastrop, La and she died October 5, 1998. Surviving are 3 sons Frank Moffatt and John Moffatt both of Hamburg, Ark. and Jim Moffatt, Crossett, Ark; 2 daughters Sissy Moffatt, Denver, North Carolina and Margaret Ann Ward, Kingsland, Ark; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Julie Carol Moffatt. Funeral services were 10:00 am Friday, August 22, at Eden Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Hicks officiating. Music was provided by Axie Withers. Burial with military honors was in Pugh Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Matt Moffatt, Chad Moffatt, Robert Moffatt, Josh Moffatt, Moffatt Ann Steele, Dakota Martin and Tristian Ward. Honorary pallbearers were Ellen Steele, Sarah Steele, Nick Ward, Evie Meeks, Amber Moffatt, Ashley King, Colby Ward, Karlie Allen and Jacey Allen.
