Obituary:
Roy A. Baker age 83 of Crossett, AR died Wednesday, May 21st at the Gardner Nursing Home in Star City, AR. He was born December 9th 1930 in Sumpter, AR a son of the late Carlton Baker and Erdie Stuard Baker. He was a life long equipment operator, a Free and Accepted Mason with the distinction of 32nd Degree a United States Air force Veteran serving in Korea. He was a member of Martins Chapel United Methodist Church and he also loved to garden and hunt. Also preceding him in death was his wife whom he married April of 1954 Jo Ann Outlaw Baker and she died October 4th, 2006, a half brother Cecil Baker and a sister Waldean Hayes preceded him in death. He is survived by a son Jimmy Baker and spouse Rickie, Crossett, AR. A grandson Corey Baker and spouse Sydney, Crossett, AR. Funeral services were 10:00AM Saturday, May 24th at Frazerís Chapel by Rev. Wayman Mann. Linda Barrett was the organist and Ronnie Anthony the soloist. Burial with flag presentation Ceremony was in Outlaw Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Jim Anders, Cliff Gates, tracy Savage, Randall Smith, Larry Mann, Hugh Allen Beasley, Eddie Ferrell and Dennis Hays.
