Henry Hurley Baker, age 78, of Banks died Monday June 28, at J.R.M.C. Born March 9, 1926 at Moro Bay, AR a son of the late Claude Jefferson Baker and Bessie Mae Forrest Baker he was a retired foreman for the State of Arkansas Highway Department, member Banks Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Army in World War II and during the Korean Conflict, lifetime member Disabled American Veterans and member Superior Lodge # 725 F. & A.M. Also, preceding him in death was a sister Opal Lanier. Survivors are his wife Lillian Hooks Baker whom he married December 29, 1951 at Warren, AR. 2 daughters Susan Grice of Banks and Pam Williams of Clinton. 2 brothers Charlie Baker of Mena, AR. and Archie Baker of Petersburg, VA. 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Friday July 2, Frazerís Chapel with Rev. DeWayne Ashcraft officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and soloist was Debra West. Burial with full military honors was McFarland Cemetery at Banks by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Charles Sindle, Don Hudson, Tracy Hoyt, Danny Thompson, Tom Baker and Keaton Hudson. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Gene Hairston, Gordon Moseley, Jerry Baker and Dr. Ken Purvis.
