Message: She was my dear aunt. I have such fond memories of many Thanksgiving holidays at their house, rides on the tractor and seeing cows! Pretty special for a city kid! She, of all the sisters looked most like my Mother, Rogene. We saw her this past July and celebrated in advance her 100th birthday! It was a blessing. We will miss her dearly.

Message: Ms. Opal was a true figure of a Godly Woman, by her living a 100 yr's she was great christian example to many generations. Friend indeed w/my MaMaw & PaPaw Lawrence, My Mother, me, my children & grandchildren. She adored all of us bringing the fruit baskets each year, & singing Christmas Carole's. My favorite story, I was short & chunky girl & hard for clothes to fit, my father died one week before school started when I was 9 yr's(1969) old. Ms. Opal cut down some of her dresses & made them to fit me to a tee. She had many talent's excellent seamstress, cook, Bible student, she was always doing something for other's & loved it. No matter: who makes the next coconut pie, it will never taste like her's, even if it they use the exact same recipe(Because her's had a very special ingredient that only could come from her & it was the Love of other's & doing for other's). As a young man Eddy Don eat a many a meal @ Ms. Opal's & Mr. Coot's, as he helped him on the farm & he has said a many a time, now that woman knows how to cook. She Loved Tillie's husband Adam dearly, when he worked @ Crow Burlingame, (while she was still driving) she would go to part store Adam would tell what she needed & he would put it on for her. So Many Very Fond Memories. Eddy Don,Suzette Russell,Brian, Mindy, & Hunter Erwin,Adam,Tillie, & Will Simkins. Sue Woodard
