Obituary:
Maxie Lucille Strait Johnson, age 97, of Warren, AR. died Sunday January 12, at B.C.M.C. Born June 5, 1916 at Herbine, AR. a daughter of the late Hugh Edwin Strait and Eura McCullough Strait, she was a retired secretary for S.M. Dixon with 45 years of service, member First Baptist Church and the widow of Morris Jack Johnson who died November 24, 1982. A sister Dorothy Wolfe also preceded her in death. Survivors are 1 son Max L. Johnson, Jacksonville Beach, FL. 2 grandchildren Laura Kirkland and Jimmy Johnson both of Jacksonville Beach, FL. 5 great-grandchildren. 1 niece Jennifer Call Textor, Little Rock, AR. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Monday January 20, at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Greg Stanley officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and soloist was Jonathan McGee. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Jerry Don Forrest, Jason Green, Curtis Blankinship, Jr., Eddie Braswell, Tommy McLemore, Freddie Mobley, Delbert Zimmerly and Gary Cooper. Memorials preferred First Baptist Church; 310 South Main St.; Warren, AR. 71671.
