Jewell Dean Thompson, age 86, of Warren, AR. died Friday, August 23, at Tomball, Texas. She was born June 12, 1927 in Ingalls, Arkansas a daughter of the late Harvey Johnson and Mary Jane Mann Johnson. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church, a former member of Union Hill Baptist Church at Ingalls, a graduate of Hermitage High School where she played basketball and a retired homemaker. She married C. T. “Tommy” Thompson September 22, 1945 and he died September 14, 2007. Surviving are 2 sons Mike Thompson and spouse Thana, Tomball, Texas and Rick Thompson and spouse Angie, Seville, Spain; 1 daughter Sandra Bryan and spouse Wayne, Tumbling Shoals, Ark; 1 brother Guy Johnson and spouse Edna, Warren, Ark; 8 grandchildren Amy Cates and spouse John, Drew Thompson and spouse Kara, Spencer Thompson and spouse Rachel, Steven Bryan and spouse Heather, Christina Thompson, Danny Thompson, Deidra Fougeron and spouse Dave and Natalie Riley; 12 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son Larry Thompson and a brother Everette Johnson. Funeral services were 2:00pm Friday, August 30, at Union Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Music was provided by David Mitchell and Fran Mitchell. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery at Ingalls by Frazer’s Funeral Home of Warren. Active pallbearers were Drew Thompson, Parker Thompson, Andy Thompson, Kim Johnson, Steven Bryan, Benny Johnson and Monty Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were Spencer Thompson, Danny Thompson and Raymond Simmons.
