Chaney Cook, age 84, of New Edinburg, Arkansas died Tuesday, July 20, at home. She was born December 23, 1919 in Locust Bayou, AR. a daughter of the late Ben Rendles and Carnaily Dumas Rendles. She was a homemaker, a member of Bethel AME Church and the Order of Eastern Star. She was the widow of Jethro Cook. Surviving is a daughter Gwendolyn Joyce Bailey and spouse Sherman, Warren, Ark; 1 brother Esper Rendles and spouse Sayonya, Inkster, Mich; 1 granddaughter Cheryl Wofford and spouse Reginald, New Edinburg, Ark; 2 great grandchildren Genice Cook and Reginald Wofford, Jr. both of New Edinburg, Ark. and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, at Bethel AME Church with Rev. Mary J. Purifoy and Bishop Rommel Hooper officiating. Pallbearers were Cary Blueford, Corey Collins, Ulysses Rice, Larry Smith, Dwain Tenner Y.Z. Whaley. Burial was in Union Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home.
