Ralph Taunton, age 87, of Warren, AR. died Wednesday May 8, at Chapel Woods Nursing Center in Warren, AR. Born November 9, 1925 in Huttig, AR. a son of the late J.C. Taunton and Alma Pearl White Taunton he was retired from Burlington Railroad, a World War II Army veteran, served in the U.S. Air Force, Arkansas Army National Guard and was a Baptist. Also preceding him in death were brothers Albert Taunton, R.J. Taunton; a half brother John Wesley Taunton; half sisters Sadie Taunton and Margie Taunton. Survivors are his wife Margaret Edwardine Parnell Taunton whom he married June 4, 1988. 1 daughter Thresia Jo Kinney, Seattle, WA. 1 brother Fred Taunton, Oklahoma City, OK. 1 half brother Roy Taunton, Morrilton, AR. 2 grandchildren Ronnie Fragosa and Christie Kinney both of Seattle, WA. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 11, Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann and Rev. Charles Simpson officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial in Hickory Springs Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Eddie Wayne Parnell, Jim Gardner, R.L. Gates, Robert Carroll Grider, James Gardner and Mike Grider.
