Tilman Jerone “Pop” Hargrave, age 85 of Hamburg, Ark. formerly of Warren died Wednesday, August 4, at Baptist Medical Center, Little Rock. He was born November 8, 1918 in Bradley County, Ark. a son of the late James Augustus Hargrave and Lenora Ellen Beard Hargrave. He was a World War II US Army veteran, a retired painting contractor and a member of First Baptist Church, Warren. He married Hazel Polk Hargrave on December 23, 1940 and she died February 2, 1985. Surviving is a son Michael Jerone “Mick” Hargrave, Hamburg, Ark; a daughter Nancy Gwin, Hamburg, Ark; 4 grandchildren Kin Louhon and spouse Ronnie, Eric Adams and David Simmons all of Hamburg, Ark. and Les Simmons Tempe, Ariz; 4 great grandchildren. A daughter Jean Simmons, 6 brothers Plez Hargrave, Harvey Hargrave, Jimmy Hargrave, Jessie Hargrave, Hamilton Hargrave and Preston Hargrave and 2 sisters Eunice Roam and Musette Corbett also preceded him in death. Funeral services were 2:00 pm Saturday, August 7, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Charles Corbett and Rev. Greg Stanley officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and special music was provided by The Haley Creek Band. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home of Warren. Active pallbearers were Glen Lockeby, Gary Grider, Bobby Hargrave, John Hall, Johnnie Pierce, Tray Tubbs, Richard Gwin and Evan Hogan.
