Obituary:
Austie M. Johnson age 77 of Pine Bluff, AR formerly of Warren, AR died Tuesday, April 9th at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born July 18th, 1935 in Bodcaw, AR, a daughter of the late Collie A. May and Melva Stewart May. She was a retired L.P.N. with 25 plus years, serving at the Bradley County Medical Center in Warren and the Doctorís Hospital in Little Rock. She was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church, where she served the Lord she loved so much and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Also preceding her in death was a brother Thurrell May and a sister Imogene Peterman. She is survived by 2 sons, Stan Johnson(Debralee), Gilmer, TX; Mike Johnson(Crystal), Phoenix, AZ, 2 daughters Theresa Johnson Perrigan(Kevin) Monticello, AR; Deana Johnson Helms(Chris), Pine Bluff, AR. A brother Darwin May(Avie), Camden, AR and a sister Virginia Kirk, Grass valley, CA. 8 grandchildren with 6 step-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family and friends. A beloved companion Morris Bozeman, Altus , AR. Graveside services were 2:00PM Sunday, April 14th at Enon Cemetery in Rye, AR with Pastor Roger Stewart and Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Arrangements were by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Chad Render, Jamey Price, Kevin Moore, Jeff Peyton, Michael Lambert, Clayton Cox, Bill Hetterick and Don Clark. Honorary pallbearers were Conrad McCowan, Bob Cobler, Joe Rice, Doyle Gates, R.L. Gates, Alton Glover, Mike Whitener and the Golden Rule Sunday School Class. Memorials preferred The Olive Branch Baptist Church Land Fund 5130 Bobo Road, Pine Bluff, AR 71603 or the Arkansas Childrenís Hospital, 1 Childrenís Way, Little Rock AR. 72202.
