Obituary:
Jesse Dickens age 74 of Hermitage, AR. died Wednesday, December 26th at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was born November 4th, 1938 in Harrisonburg, LA. a son of the late John Dickens and Estelle Holley Dickens. He was owner and operator of J & B Produce for 20 years, a member of Union Hill Baptist Church, a United States Army Veteran serving in Germany, a member of the American Legion and served in the Arkansas National Guard. Also preceding him in death were brothers, Raymond Dickens, John Dickens, Jr.; Leo Dickens and Earl Dickens. Sisters Thelma Bryant and Louise Franks. Survivors include his wife Bonnie Dodson Dickens, whom he married July 20th, 1964 in Strong, AR. 5 daughters, Tonja Green, Magnolia, AR., Jessie E. Hicks, and Kathy Ann Hill both of Hermitage, AR., Wendy Temple, Monroe, LA. and Vickie Lynn Torres, Navasha, TX. 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 3:30PM Saturday, December 29th at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Daniel Haigwood officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Michael Hicks, Randy Hernandez, Alberto Morales, Eddie Morales, Phil Hines and Charles Thomas.
