Dwayne Bruce Cathey, age 63, of Hope, AR. died Sunday December 2, at Arkansas Hospice in Hot Springs, AR. Born February 26, 1949 in Warren, AR. a son of the late O.J. Cathey and Agnes Doggett Cathey he was a retired employee of Firestone in Prescott and a Methodist. Survivors are his wife Melvinna “Bonnie” Pate Cathey. 1 son A.J. Cathey, Sherwood, AR. 1 step daughter Wendy Wilkins of North Carolina. 1 brother Phillip Cathey, Banks, AR. 1 grandchild, 1 nephew Matt Cathey, Warren, AR. 1 niece Dr. Michelle Weaver, Warren, AR. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Friday December 7, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Marty Reep officiating. Phyllis Stedman provided the music. Burial was in Williams Cemetery near Banks, AR. by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Tommy Fowler, Richard McDougald, Jerry Tipton, Billy Jarvis, Mickey Cathey, Adam Weaver, Matt Cathey and Steve Simmons. Honorary pallbearer was Robert Newton.
