Albert F. Nichols, age 96, of Rye, AR. died Monday September 3, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. Born September 20, 1915 in Cleveland County, AR. a son of the late Luther Burdett Nichols and Ida Hayes Nichols he was a retired farmer, member Harmony Freewill Baptist Church, a World War II Army veteran and the widower of Bertha Clara Taylor Nichols who died June 1, 2001. They were united in marriage April 26, 1941. Also, preceding him in death was a brother John Alvin Nichols and a sister Marie Rice. Survivors are 2 sons Dean Nichols and spouse Nancy; Delbert Nichols and spouse Donna all of Rye, AR. 1 brother Robert “Bob” Nichols, Fordyce, AR. 3 grandchildren Penny Nichols Pyle and spouse David, Tracy Nichols and spouse Monica; James Nichols and spouse Carol. 3 great-grandchildren Kristin Nichols, Ethan Pyle and Justin Nichols. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Wednesday September 5, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Music was provided by Tracy and Monica Nichols and Tim Taylor. Burial with flag presentation was in Union Cemetery at Rye, AR. by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Ronald Dean Adair, Jimmy Dale Adair, Greg Bradley, Jimmy Taylor, Bill Young and Bob Young. Honorary pallbearers were Thomas Bradley, James Bradley, Charles Nichols and Danny Adair.
