Obituary:
Charles Allen age 71, of Warren, AR. died Sunday August 5th in Warren, AR. He was born May 5th, 1941 in Plumberville, AR. a son of the late James Dewey Allen and Arletha Evans Allen. He was a retired owner and operator of Allenís Exxon for 40 plus years, co/owner of Betty Allen Farms and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Also preceding him in death are brothers, Don Allen, J. D. Allen, Leroy Allen. Sisters Betty McCellan, Carolyn McCellan, Lorene Townsley and Martha Thomas. He is survived by his wife whom he married June 3rd, 1958 in Lonoke County, Betty Freeman Allen. 1 son Chuck Allen and spouse Sherry, Eldorado, AR. 5 daughters Lin Atkins, Hampton, AR.; Geanice Allen, White Hall, AR.; Renae Allen, White Hall, AR.; Felicia Tullos, Warren, AR.; and Chasity Angle and spouse James, Warren. AR. A sister Mae March and spouse Mike, Warren, AR. 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Numerous nephews and nieces and friends. Funeral services were 10:00AM Wednesday, August 8th at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Jim Freeman and Rev. Buel Curtis officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and singers were Rev. Jim Freeman, Glenda Curtis and Sherry Allen. Burial was in Reaves Cemetery near New Edinburg, AR. by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Blake Tullos, Josh Tullos, Colt Atkins, Charlie Atkins, Terry Norton, Danny Perry, Harold Freeman and Jake Freeman. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. David Foscue, Jerry Gates, Dan Shelton and Fay Wolfe. Memorials preferred The 20th Century Clubs Lodge, 4011 Maryland Ave., Little Rock, AR. 72204.
