Alleen Blankinship, age 85, of Warren, Arkansas died Monday, September 6, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. She was born July 22, 1919 at Hamburg, Arkansas a daughter of the late James Dudley Lewis and Alice OíLela Deal Lewis. She was a graduate of Hamburg High School, a bookkeeper and a member of First Baptist Church, McGehee. She married Walter Curtis Blankinship on April 5, 1939 at Warren, Arkansas and he died September 25, 1968. Surviving is a son W. Curtis Blankinship and spouse Brenda, Warren, Ark; a daughter Ann Whitaker and spouse James, McGehee, Ark; 5 grandchildren Shelly Zellner and Sheree Whitley, Maumelle, Ark, Sam Whitaker and Jim Whitaker, McGehee, Ark. and Suzanne W. Waters, St. Croix, V.I.; 10 great grandchildren Cole Zellner, Brianna Whitley and Sydney Whitley all of Maumelle, Ark, Jessica Whitaker, Scott David Whitaker, John Arthur Whitaker and Harrison Whitaker all of McGehee, Ark, Whit Waters, Grayson Waters and Brittney Waters all of St Croix, V.I. 3 brothers Herman Lewis, Henry Lewis and Ovis Lewis and 2 sisters Elsie Lewis and Zola Tullos also preceded her in death. Funeral Services were 10:00 am Wednesday, September 8, at Frazerís Chapel by Rev. Tommy Cunningham and Rev. Greg Stanley. Janice Sullivan was the organist, Alicia Whitaker the pianist and Rick Miller the soloist. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery at Warren by Frazerís Funeral Home. Pallbearers were John ďMĒ Lipton, Vol Ford, Rick Roper, Larry Goodson, Larry Bean and Jim Wisener. Memorials prefer to the Warren YMCA, First Baptist Church, Warren or First Baptist Church, McGehee. Visitation 6:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday, September 7, at Frazerís.
