Obituary:
Betty Jean Trammell, 78, of New Edinburg, Arkansas passed away April 26, 2012 at the Bradley County Medical Center. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Johnie Leon Trammell. Four children: Paula Beard and spouse Dan of Bearden, Dale Trammell and Ida, Judy Moring and spouse Delbert, and Larry Joe Trammell, all of New Edinburg. She had eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Betty had one sister, Frankie Maynor of New Edinburg and one brother, Robert Elkins of Arizona. Also a special friend, Shari Watts who was devoted in her care. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church. Betty was born in Caryville, Tennessee. She then met a young soldier and became an Army wife. She was keeper of home and family while her husband served numerous tours overseas and retired home with him to Arkansas after thirty years of service. She loved her family and friends and was greatly loved by them. She was generous with her time and often extended a helping hand to those in need. Betty was diagnosed with Alzheimerís disease in 2002 and throughout her decline and lengthy illness gave the gift of teaching others about serving, love, and patience. She is with the Angels now and we would like to thank all of the Angels still here on Earth that helped with her care and supported the family as we cared for her. Funeral services were 4:30 p.m. Sunday April 29, at Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Wilson officiating. Pianist was Nell Brown and soloist was Karen Thompson. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Dakotah Moring, Devlyn Moring, Bryan Kauffer, Derek Nichols, Tommy McDaniel, Robert McDaniel, Robin Maynor and Ted Maynor. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Ken Purvis, Steve Trammell, Raymond Brown, Floyd Brown and Ricky Henry.
