Obituary:
Eva Rae Wright Smith age 77 of Hilo, AR. died Saturday, March 10th at the Woods Nursing Center in Monticello, AR. She was born September 4, 1934 in Jersey, AR. a daughter of the late Charles Ellis Wright and Birdie Holmes Wright. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, and spending time with her family and grandkids. She was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church and the widow of John Henry Smith whom she married January 12, 1952 and he died June 22, 2010. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Bill Wright and Charles “Punch” Wright. Survivors include a son, Johnny Ray ”Butch” Smith, Bastrop, LA. 2 sisters Emma Jean Harrod, Hermitage, AR. and Sue Reynolds, Blytheville, AR. 2 grandchildren Terri Lynn Bird and spouse Joe, Bastrop, LA,. Clint Smith and spouse Stormy, Bastrop, LA. 7 great-grandchildren Trey Goyne , Ethan Goyne; Jessica Bird, Jeremy Bird, Tyler Smith, Zachary Smith and Landon Powell. Funeral services were 2:00pm Tuesday, March 13th at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Hilo Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Charles Patton, Louis Givens, Don Posey, Bodie Cooper, Scott Wright and Lynn Wright. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Harrod, Donald Harrod and Randy Reynolds.
