Obituary:
Verma Lee Wilson, age 92, of Sumpter, AR. died Monday February 27, at her home. Born September 1, 1919 at Sumpter, AR. a daughter of the late William Thomas Forrest and Mary Jane Barlow Forrest she was a homemaker, member of Martinís Chapel United Methodist Church and the widow of Homer Francis Wilson who died July 21, 1994. They were united in marriage October 19, 1935. Also, preceding her in death were brothers Herbert Forrest, Johnny Forrest, sisters; Carrie Pope, Ethel Stuard, Gladys Burt, Pauline Smith and Edna Jones. Survivors are 1 son Bobby Ray Wilson, Sumpter, AR. 2 daughters Mary Lou Chandler, Memphis, TN. and Barbara Jean Dittman, Buford, S.C. 1 brother Elwood Forrest, Belle, TN. 1 sister Everee Wooten, Houston, TX. 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Thursday March 1, at Frazerís Chape byrev. Wayman Mann. Linda Barrett was the organist and Mary Fierce the soloist. Burial was in Outlaw Cemetery at Sumpter, AR. by Frazerís Funeral Home. Pallbearers wee Gerald Wayne Wilson, Keith Outlaw, Donald Stuard, Tony Wilson, Darrell Spurlock and Sam Spurlock.
