Louis “J. D.” Wesson, age 60, of Warren, Arkansas died Saturday, September 18, at Arkansas Heart Hospital. He was born December 6, 1943 in Ashley County, Arkansas a son of the late Everett Wesson and Geraldine Turner Wesson. He served in the US Army and was a carpenter and a Methodist. He married Ila Henderson Wesson on January 3, 1973 and she died February 17, 1991. Surviving are 3 sons Ray Wesson, Fountain Hill, Ark, Wayne Wesson, Warren, Ark. and David Wesson, Wilmar, Ark; 1 daughter Marlene Curry, Warren, Ark; 1 step son Joe Fleming, Gladewater, Tex; 1 step daughter Lucrecia Bradley, Warren, Ark; 3 brothers Robert Glenn Wesson, Ronnie Royce Wesson and Kenneth Harold Wesson all of Fountain Hill, Ark; 1 sister Ellen Stell, Hamburg, Ark; 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A stepdaughter Virginia Fleming also preceded him in death. Funeral services were 2:00 pm Monday, September 20, at Frazer’s Chapel by Rev. John Kidwell and Rev Kenny Bolin. Janice Sullivan was the organist and Gina McWilliams the soloist. Burial was in Zion Cemetery near Fountain Hill, Arkansas by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Michael Meeks, Justin Baker, Rich O’Neill, David Stucks, Randal Davis and Frank Wesson. Honorary pallbearers were Sheriff Butch Belin, Lewis Hedger, Hershel Tillman, Jason Wallace and Ronald Dean Adair.
