Betty Nicholson Lambert

Betty Brown Nicholson Lambert, 82, of Warren, AR died Monday, January 30, 2012 at Legacy Heights Nursing Center in Russellville, AR. Born July 14, 1929 near New Edinburg in Cleveland County, AR, the daughter of the late Thomas Harvey Brown and Mary Elizabeth “Lizzie” Thompson Brown, she was a loving mother, devoted wife, retired administrative associate with Potlatch Corporation and a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Warren. She was married to J. E. Nicholson for 36 years, until his death February 25, 1985. Years later she met Bob Lambert on a flight from Dallas to Little Rock, and they married in 1991. Preceding her in death were brothers Franklin Brown, Thomas Brown, Jr., Marion Brown, Nolen Curtis Brown, Luther “L.T.” Brown, and sister Hazel Brown Mann. Betty is survived by her husband of 21 years, Bob Lambert, and four brothers Dewey Brown of Mount Ida, Jimmy Brown of Hot Springs, Donald T. Brown of Little Rock and Gerald Brown of Blytheville. She is also survived by two sons, Steve Nicholson and wife Mary Beth of Little Rock and Dan Nicholson and wife Susie of Russellville as well as grandchildren Katie, Will, Abbie, Sarah and Whit. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Frazer’s Funeral Service Chapel, Warren, AR, with Rev. Greg Stanley and Dale Nicholson offficiating. Linda Barrett was organist and soloist was Kathy Morman. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Gerald Burton, Delbert Zimmerly, Richard Greenwood, John Durmon, Jimmy Dalton, Bruce Brown and Greg Harton. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 310 S.
