Greta Caston Lyon

Greta Caston Lyon 78, of Conway, formerly of Warren and Monticello, died Monday, January 2, 2012 after a long struggle with a cerebral tumor. She was born November 21, 1933 in Louann, AR, a daughter of the late James P. Caston and Virgie Parsons Caston. She was a 1951 graduate of Hope High School. She died after a massive stroke, in hospice at Conway Regional Medical Center, peacefully and without pain, with her sons Steve and Greg Gough beside her. She was a retired secretary with Potlatch Corporation and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband O.C. “Jack” Lyon, her former husband, Charles Gough, and a brother, Terry Caston. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Greg’s wife Alicia Gough; their children Elizabeth Ann Gough and Geoffrey Gough, of Conway, and Steve’s wife Katherine Poulos of Carbondale, IL. Also surviving are five sisters, Jo Mouhot, Granbury, TX; Callie Smith, Port Allen, LA; Virgie Sinyard, Hope, AR; Barbara Vick, Houston, TX and Mary Alice Cash, Warren, AR.; two brothers, James Caston, Red Oak, TX and Charles Caston, Lindale, TX. A memorial service was held on January 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Diamondhead Community Church at 141 East Highway 171 in Hot Springs. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Bradley County Library, 115 West Cypress, Warren, AR or American Brain Tumor Association Arrangements by Frazer’s Funeral Home, Warren Arkansas.
