Obituary:
Esther McKenzie age 98, of Hermitage, AR. died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. She was born December 31, 1912 in Ingalls, AR. a daughter of the late Mike Baker and Stella York Baker. She was a housewife and member of Saline Baptist Church and the widow of Harvey Franklin McKenzie whom she married December 27, 1930 and he died May 8, 1999. Also preceding her in death are brothers Noel Baker, Boyd Baker, Elmer Baker, Bryce Baker, Nelson Baker and Leroy Baker, step brothers, Roscoe York, Kermit York, and Ray York. Sisters, Ethel Johnson, Lela Courtney, Lola Huitt, Margie Moix and a step sister Hazel Raines. Surviving are 2 daughters, Madeline Ferrell, Johnsville, AR. and Sarah McAllister, Hot Springs, AR. 6 Grandchildren, Cheryl Yiengst, Jonesboro, AR., Phillip Ferrell, and Tommy Ferrell both of Johnsville, AR., Nancy Martin, Hamburg, AR., Angela Scroggins, Hermitage, AR and Robyn Mazzanti, Walls, Miss. 16 Great-grandchildren and 20 Great-great grandchildren and 1 Great-great-great grandchild. Funeral services were 10:00AM Tuesday, October 25th at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. James Ray Raines and Rev. Tim Saunders officiating. Active pallbearers were Charles Scroggins, Nicholas Scroggins, Tommy Ferrell, Steven Ferrell, Reno Chancellor, Johnathan Mazzanti, J.R. Odom and Scotty Ferrell. Honorary pallbearers were Donald Hamilton, Doyle Gates, Lola Butler and Barbara Wood. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home.
