Obituary:
Rev. George E. Harrod, age 83, of Warren, Ark. died Friday, Oct. 6, at Mt. View, Ark. from injuries suffered in a auto accident. He was born August 15, 1928 at Ingalls, Ark. a son of the late Simmie Harrod and Hattie Rabun Harrod. Surviving is his wife Virgie Harrod; a daughter Dianne Eure, Ooltewah, Tenn; 1 brother Rudolph Harrod, Emerson, Ark; 4 sisters Clara York, Clarendon, Ark, Lucille Hicks, Springfield, Mich, Lourene Vail, Little Rock, Ark. and Patricia Mayfield, Jacksonville, Ark; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a wife of 52 years Marion York Harrod; a son Mike Harrod; a daughter Donna Harrod; a brother Narvil Harrod; 2 sisters Louise Doggett and Alice York Mulligan and a grandchild, Chad Barnes Harrod. Funeral services were 2:00pm Monday, October 10, at Frazerís Chapel by Elder Sam Tamburo and Elder Carl Cravens. Linda Barrett was the organist. . Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery at Ingalls by Frazerís Funeral Home of Warren. Pallbearers were Charles Mayfield, Stephen Mayfield, Jr, Edward York, Daniel Adair, Barry Eure and Jerry Forrest.
