Obituary:
Marthaline Temple Atkins Johnson, age 81, of Warren, AR. died Thursday June 9, at U.A.M.S. Born May 13, 1930 in Warren, AR. a daughter of the late John O. Temple and Erma Wallace Temple she was a former supervisor at Jack Winter, a retired owner/operator of Annís Restaurant and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were husbands Vernon Lee Atkins who died May 7, 1979 and Myrna Gene ďEdĒ Johnson who died September 29, 2006. Survivors are 1 son David Atkins, Monticello, AR., 1 daughter Brenda Burkhart, Banks, AR. 2 step sons Philip Johnson, Bauxite, AR. and David Johnson, Warren, AR. 1 step daughter Charlotte Pierce, Huntsville, AL. 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Monday June 13, at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Jay Bagwell and Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and soloist was Melvin Mills. Burial was in Crossroads Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Danny Adams, James Raley, David Simmons, Philip Johnson, Marvin Gardner and Jim Bob Watson. Honorary pallbearers were Sam Russell, Ernest Merl Johnson, Dr. Kerry Pennington, Donnie Dawkins, Dan Vickers, Scott Richardson and deacons at Crossroads Baptist Church.
