Thomas Buddy Wolfe

Thomas “Buddy” Wolfe age 84 of Warren, AR. died Saturday February 19th in the Wagnon Place Nursing Home. He was born October 16th, 1926 at home in Cleveland County, AR. a son of the late Henry Wolfe and Cora Dearman Wolfe. He was owner and operator of Deon Construction Company, which he started September 1, 1968, building highways and bridges for over 60 years. He started his career as a young man, working for Henry Wolfe logging and for 20 years, he was employed with S.M. Dixon Company, where he built highways and bridges all through the South, ultimately giving him the ability to start and operate his own company, Deon Construction. He was a member of Willoughby Freewill Baptist Church and a War War II United States Navy Veteran, where he served as a Navy Seebee and a machinist mate. Also preceding him in death, a son, Gary Wolfe, two sisters, Ruby Lee Wolfe and Edith Wolfe Reep and a great-grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Tommie Jo White Wolfe, whom he married July 26th, 1947 in Cleveland County. A son Deon Wolfe, Warren, AR. 3 daughters, Sylvia Wolfe Haun and spouse Edward, Mt. Home, AR., Rhonda Wolfe Maxwell and spouse Marty, Fayetteville, AR. and Tamara Wolfe Johnson and spouse Ron, Warren, AR. 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 1:30pm Monday, February 21st, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Victor Hunter and Rev. Jackie Williams officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and soloist were Kelsey Myers and Bob Haygood. Burial was in Willoughby Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Wade Wolfe, Bryan Case, Lance Edward Haun, Blake Maxwell, Scotty White, Tracy White and Quade Wolfe. Honorary pallbearers were John Lipton, Jim Scott, Dan Flowers, Charles White, Bill White, Max Bagwell, Roy Johnson, Edward Haun, Marty Maxwell, Ron Johnson, Clay Wagnon, Herman Hamilton and Aaron Cruce.
