Ina Beatrice Vail, age 84, of Mesquite, Texas formerly of Warren, Arkansas died Tuesday November 30, 2004, at her home. She was born November 14, 1920 in the Farmville Community (Bradley County, Arkansas) a daughter of the late Robert Harvey Grider and Ina V. Harriston Grider. She was a retired accountant. She married Andrew Jackson “Bill” Vail on October 12, 1940 at Warren, Arkansas and he died November 22, 1975 at Greenville, Mississippi. Her family and friends remember her as a loving mother for 63 years who treated every person she met like they were a part of her family. Mrs. Vail had no enemies and everyone whom she came in contact with fell in love with her. Her admonition to her family was “To live in peace and have a happy relationship with their families”. Survivors are 3 daughters Catherine Townsend, Baton Rouge, La, Connie Sims and Vicky Bigby both of Mesquite, Tex; 3 brothers Robert John “R.J.” Grider, Houston, Tex, Thomas Jerome Grider, Little Rock, Ark. and Richard Harvey “Dickey Boy” Grider, New York, New York; 1 sister Nettie Alline “Coot” Payne, Houston, Tex; 7 grandchildren Tyronza Long, Shane Bigby, William Bigby, Chassity Sims Nosrati, Megan Sims, Anthony Bigby and Tray Childs; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-greatgrandchildren. 2 sons Michael Vail and Andrew Jackson “Andy” Vail and a grandchild Cindy Townsend also preceded her in death. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Saturday December 4, Frazer’s Chapel with Steve Mann and Ron Talley officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist. Burial was in Childs Cemetery at Lanark, Arkansas (Bradley County) by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Gary Don Grider, William Bigby, Shane Bigby, Keith Flowers, David Orrell Grider and Curtis Aust. Honorary pallbearers were Lawrence Townsend, Sammy Sims and David Bigby.
