Obituary:
Willie Lois Vernich, age 95, of Manchester, Tenn, formerly of Warren, Ark, died Wednesday, June 16, at Manchester Health Care Center. She was born August 21, 1914 in Cleveland County, Ark. a daughter of the late William J. Carter and Allie Brantley Carter. She was a retired office manager and a member of Walter Hill Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, Tenn. She married Steve Vernich on July 29, 1939 at Valpraiso, Indiana and he died October 1, 1989.Surviving is a son Larry Vernich, Manchester, Tenn; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers Bernard Carter, Virgil Carter, Murray Carter and Earl Carter and a sister Beulah Carter Sims. Graveside services were 2:00pm Saturday, June 19, at Emmaus Cemetery near Warren by Rev. Ron Carter. Active pallbearers were Tony Vernich, Matthew Vernich, Danny Hunt and Patrick Thornburn, Billy Waldrop and Gary Thornton
