Joann A. Sloan, age 67, of White Hall, Arkansas died Friday, June 4, at home. She was born September 20, 1942 in Osceola, Wisc. a daughter of the late Clarence Anderson and Mable Handlos Anderson. She was a graduate of Milltown Wisconsin High School and a retired SFC-United States Army. She married Charles A. Sloan on May 8 1964 at Bellaire, Md. and he died October 25, 2004. Surviving are 2 sons Mike Sloan and spouse Michelle, Benton, Ark. and John Sloan, White Hall, Ark; 2 daughters Charlene Gorman and spouse Dean and Linda Brewer and spouse Wade all of White Hall, Ark; 1 sister Dixie Moody, Hawaiian Gardens, Calif; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and a sister in law Sue McMurray, Banks, Ark. She was also preceded in death by a son Allan Sloan and a stepfather Martin Christensen. Graveside services were 10:00 am Monday, June 7, at Oakland Cemetery, Warren, Arkansas with Rev. B.K. Harris officiating. Arrangements were by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Allan Sloan, Joseph Gorman, Wade Brewer, Corey Scribner, Mike Gorman and Mark Stanfield.
