Obituary:
Minnie Mae Newman Holley, 104 years of age, from Rye, Arkansas, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at her home. She was born October 15, 1905 in Wollem, AR, a daughter of the late Harvey Newman and Mary Brumley Newman. She was a homemaker and a member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her husband, James Hillard Holley; 1 son- Delbert Holley, 2 daughters- Lois Calvert and Wilma Rippy; 2 brothers- Frank Newman and Fred Newman; 2 sisters Mittie Holley and Hellen Lay. Survivors include her 3 sons- Bill Holley of Hope, AR, Sam Holley of Rye, AR, and Jimmy Holley of Rye, AR; 1 daughter- Mary Jane Ashcraft of Rye, AR; 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service was 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 at Enon Missionary Baptist Church in Rye, AR with Rev. Michael Kelly officiating. Music provided by Sybil Vinson. Burial was in Union Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Justin Wright, Benjiman Wright, Dustin Holley, Andrew Moak, Christian Holley, and Adam Holley.
