Obituary:
Jack Donald Hammons, age 82, of Warren, AR. died Thursday April 1, at Bradley County Medical Center. Born October 29, 1927 in Warren, AR. a son of the late Dr. Arthur C. Hammons and Christine Columbia Robertson Hammons he was a retired sawmill foreman for Potlatch Corporation Bradley Unit, member First Baptist Church, a mason, member Warren Lodge # 33 F. & A.M. and a World War II Army veteran. Also, preceding him in death were brothers, Rex Hammons, Robert Hammons, Pat Hammons, sisters, Virginia Burnett and Grace Benton. Survivors are his wife Sue Richardson Hammons whom he married July 25, 1951; 2 sons Pat Hammons and spouse, Anne, Joe Hammons and spouse, La Donna, all of Warren, AR; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 3, Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Greg Stanley officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and Marlin and Donna Raines sang. Burial with flag presentation was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Ernest Johnson, Klay McKinney, Travis Smith, Jack Burnett, Bruce Burnett, Ervin Henry and Rufus Peek. Honorary pallbearers were L.D. Hollingsworth, Charlie Morgan, Bob Richardson, Leroy Thornton and Curtis Harton.
